Joseph Bommarito

As a Research Engineer and Data Scientist with a Ph.D. in Political Economics and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, I have over ten years of experience in public sector data analytics. My work focuses on transforming complex data into actionable insights for decision-making, benefiting society. I have led data initiatives across the US and internationally, including in Illinois, Arizona, California, Brazil, Thailand, and Switzerland with projects ranging from child well-being in global supply chains and agricultural environmental standards in the global south to analyzing global sea trade patterns to better understand modern global trade. In addition to working on the Care Board, I serve as a Data Advisor providing services to various state and local organizations, providing data-driven analysis to enhance decision-making and societal well-being by optimizing public sector operations. My career has focused on bridging the gap between cutting-edge academic insights and organizations seeking ways to utilize this research to better their daily operations and achieve their goals.
